Soup A Week

Soup Nazi

April 14, 2011
Don't know if you heard, but the Soup Nazi is coming to San Francisco!  Possibly one of the most famous Seinfeld episodes ever, the actual Soup Nazi from NYC is opening a store at Fisherman's wharf.  Being a huge Seinfeld fan and a soup enthusiast, I am obviously pretty excited.  I think its time SAW makes a tomato bisque or a jambalaya in honor of this event.  And we'll make sure everyone gets bread.

Soup a Week Takes a Break

July 25, 2010
In the past few months, both Pam and I have started new jobs, we have traveled multiple times, and been super busy even while we have been at home.  Soup a week went strong for 21 straight weeks, however things have been slowing down.  But don't worry. We're not done. Just taking a break for now.  In the meantime, we have 21 great soups to make and we'll be posting some new ones very soon.

Happy souping

Soup a Week Goes to France

June 3, 2010
Our executive chef has traveled to Saint-Alexandre France to spend a few weeks traveling the countryside, drinking the finest wine, and of course, making a fabulous meal.  This week we are posting a special soup - Curried Fresh Pea.  This soup depends on what type of curry powder you use.  With a large variety of curry powder to choose from, you can tailor the flavor to your liking.  We used a yellow Ras Al Hanout which is a Moroccan curry powder used by the North African immigrants residing...

"This soup is yummy", said the three year old named Gio after having a spoonful of our Tomato and Lentil soup at the Ronald McDonald House on Friday night.  Soup a week donated one of our classics along with a salad and bread for the residents staying at the house.  We had an awesome time cooking, eating, and talking with the families.  Pictures and a description of the event can be found on our charity page

On Friday April 30th, soup a week will be making a soup dinner for the Ronald McDonald House in San Francisco.  The house provides living accommodations for parents who need a place to stay while visiting their children at the UCSF Children's Hospital.  We will utilize their in house kitchen to make a large pot of one of our soups.  After cooking for the guests, we will join them for dinner and get a chance to hear their story.  If you would like to help out during that evening, email myself ...

Soup de Chien

April 1, 2010
This week we're rolling out something never before seen in the soup world - Soup de Chien.  Why should humans be the only ones to enjoy a tasty bowl of soup.  We treat our canine counterparts like humans anyway when we talk to them, dress them up, and even invite them over for a round of cards.  So why not feed them like humans?  Today Soup A Week presents Soup de Chien.  Your dog is guaranteed to love it.
